What Happens when Theatre and Travel mix?  Join us and find out!

On Wednesday, September 21, Hostelling International San Diego will partner with the San Diego Repertory Theatre for an evening of theatre and travel.  The evening starts with HI-USA’s Women Traveling Solo presentation, with the highlight of the evening, the REP’s play “Walter Cronkite is Dead,” about two lady explorers stuck in the waiting area of the Reagan National Airport. This West Coast premiere is an intimate comedy that takes the vitrolic rhetoric of red state vs blue state and asks us to view "the other" with our eyes wide open.

Tickets are only $40 and includes your choice of beer, wine, well-drink or soda at the bar during intermission.

Planning on attending our Annual Meeting on October 3?  For only $50 you can get all of the above plus entrance to our Annual Meeting!

All proceeds going to benefit our Educational Programs teaching youth in the San Diego area about hostelling and cultural awareness!

Please contact Programs and Volunteer Coordinator Matt Carney at mcarney@sandiegohostels.org for more information or if you would like to pay by check or money order.

See you there!

Hostelling International USA, San Diego Council

For over 50 years, Hostelling International USA, San Diego (HI-San Diego), a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, has helped the San Diego community develop a deeper appreciation of countries and cultures different from their own. HI-San Diego fosters experiences that forever change the way people regard each other and the world. Our mission is "to help all, especially the young, gain a greater understanding of the world and its people through hostelling."

Hostelling is educational travel. HI-San Diego advocates global awareness with two welcoming, comfortable and affordable hostels to over 15,000 people annually. With a full kitchen and comfortable common areas available to guests, hostels are designed to provide a forum for intercultural dialogue. Community members are invited into the hostels through volunteering and through community service projects.
